Shenzhen Liuxing Technology Product Warranty Policy
Thank you for purchasing a Shenzhen Liuxing Technology Co., Ltd. (the" Company"or “Manifold”) product. This Product Warranty Policy (the "Policy") sets out the terms and conditions of warranty services for Manifold products and forms part of the terms governing the sale of, and after-sales service for Manifold products. Please read this Policy carefully before purchasing a product. As required by applicable law, we will use reasonable means to draw your attention to, and explain, provisions concerning disclaimers, limitations of liability, and warranty exclusions that materially affect your rights and obligations.
This Policy applies to the product(s) and accessory(ies) (collectively, the “Product”or “Products”) purchased from Manifold or its authorized channels for your own use and not for resale. If a sales contract, purchase order, project contract, framework agreement, or other valid written agreement between the parties contains terms concerning warranty, returns, replacements, limitations of liability, or after-sales service that differ from this Policy, the specific written agreement shall prevail, and matters not addressed in that agreement shall be governed by this Policy. The same priority rule applies to enterprises, institutions, government bodies, schools, research organizations, and other customers purchasing Products for business purposes such as production and operations, project implementation, system integration, or research and testing. The end-user return and replacement provisions of this Policy do not apply to distributors, agents, or other purchasers acquiring Products for resale; their rights and obligations shall be governed by the applicable channel cooperation agreement or sales contract. For purchasers who qualify as consumers under applicable law, this Policy does not exclude or restrict any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
1 Service Commitment
Manifold warrants that, under normal use, the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period.
A quality defect covered by this Policy is a defect in a Product's materials, manufacture, assembly, or software or firmware officially released by Manifold that, under normal use conforming to the Product's technical specifications, user manual, and prescribed operating environment, causes the Product to fail materially to meet the functions or performance expressly committed to by The Company.
The specific performance, accuracy, functions, and conditions of use of a Product shall be determined in accordance with applicable law, the Product technical specifications and user manual officially published by The Company, and the applicable sales contract between the parties.
2 Warranty Period
2.1 Commencement of Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date you receive the Product. In principle, valid proof of purchase must be provided. If proof of purchase cannot be provided, the warranty start date shall be the date falling 90 calendar days after the manufacturing date shown on the Product, or another date determined by Manifold based on verifiable information such as the Product serial number, outbound shipment records, activation records, or sales records from authorized channels.
For enterprises, institutions, and other customers purchasing Products for business purposes such as production and operations, research and testing, project implementation, or system integration, the warranty period shall begin as provided in the sales contract. If the sales contract does not specify a start date, the warranty period shall begin on the date of actual delivery. If the contract expressly provides for an acceptance procedure and specifies the acceptance date as the warranty start date, that provision shall apply.
2.2 Warranty Periods
| Category | Product or Component | Warranty Period |
|---|---|---|
| Complete Units | Complete units of all Manifold standard product categories | 1 year |
| Accessories | Official supporting accessories, including power adapters and bases | 6 months |
| Cables | Connection cables, signal cables, extension cables, sockets, and similar items | As a general rule, cables and other consumable accessories do not carry a separate long-term commercial warranty. This does not exclude manufacturing defects existing at delivery, dead-on-arrival defects, or quality-related liabilities imposed by applicable law. |
| Software | Standard firmware, SDKs, and bundled software supplied with hardware | Governed by the applicable software license, version maintenance policy, and technical support policy. A hardware warranty does not constitute a commitment to continue developing software features, adapt the Product to third-party platforms, provide SDK integration, maintain operating-system compatibility, or provide custom development services. If a defect in software or firmware officially released by Manifold prevents a Product from performing an expressly committed basic function, Manifold will, within reasonable limits, provide a fix, upgrade, rollback, or other feasible solution. |
| Custom Products | Custom-developed products | As provided in the applicable sales contract or project contract |
| Batteries | Built-in or removable batteries and battery assemblies | 6 months. Batteries are components subject to natural capacity degradation. Normal capacity degradation is not a Product quality defect. Abnormal failure caused by a manufacturing defect is covered by the applicable warranty. |
| Calibration | Factory calibration and abnormal deviations caused by manufacturing issues | Handled under this Policy during the warranty period. Recalibration required because of dropping, collision, disassembly, external impact, use outside the specified environment, or normal long-term use may be provided as a paid service. |
Notes
- If you wish to extend the warranty period, please consult a Manifold sales representative at the time of purchase and purchase an extended warranty service separately.
- Warranty periods may vary to comply with the laws and regulations of the region of sale, in which case the applicable local policy shall govern.
- The warranty period applicable to a specific Product shall be the period stated on the Product sales page or in the applicable sales contract.
- Manifold may adjust the warranty policy applicable to Products sold in the future based on its Products and business circumstances. Products sold before an adjustment shall, in principle, remain subject to the policy effective at the time of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties or required by applicable law.
3 Service Types
3.1 Warranty Service
During the warranty period, you may apply for free warranty service if a Product develops a performance failure that was not caused by human action. All of the following conditions must be met:
- You provide valid proof of purchase, such as order information, an invoice, or a sales contract. If proof of purchase cannot be provided, the purchase and warranty eligibility can be verified through the Product serial number, outbound shipment records, activation records, sales records from authorized channels, or other verifiable information.
- The Product remains within the applicable warranty period and develops a non-human-caused performance failure under normal use.
Manifold may, based on the circumstances, provide one or more of the following remedies:
- Repair: repair the defective Product so that it again meets the functional and performance requirements applicable to that Product.
- Replacement: replace the Product or component with a qualified Product or component of the same model or with performance no lower than that of the original. If the original model has been discontinued or cannot reasonably be supplied, Manifold may, after consultation with the customer, use another model with equivalent or better functions and performance.
A repaired or replaced Product, whether a complete unit or a component, will be covered for the longer of:
- the remainder of the original Product's warranty period; and
- 90 calendar days from the date the repaired or replacement Product is delivered.
3.2 Return Service
For consumers legally entitled to a statutory cooling-off or unconditional return right under applicable local laws, returns shall be handled in accordance with such laws and the return policies of the relevant sales channel. The return window and product condition standards shall be governed strictly by applicable law. Returned goods must meet the condition standards prescribed by applicable law. Reasonable unsealing and testing by a consumer to inspect the Product and confirm its quality and functions will not, by itself, cause the goods to be treated as not intact. Use beyond the scope reasonably necessary for inspection, damage, or material impairment of value shall be handled in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the sales channel.
Unless otherwise provided in the sales contract or separately committed to in writing by The Company, enterprises, institutions, and other customers purchasing Products for business purposes such as production and operations, research and testing, project implementation, or system integration are not entitled to return Products without cause. Repairs, replacements, and other remedies arising from Product quality issues shall be handled under this Policy and the applicable contract between the parties. Custom Products that are legally exempt from local statutory return right, and other Products for which the purchaser confirmed at the time of purchase that the return right does not apply as permitted by law, shall be handled in accordance with applicable law and the express agreement made at the time of purchase.
3.3 Replacement Service
For standard Products sold directly by The Company, a customer may apply for replacement within 15 calendar days after receipt if The Company's inspection confirms that the Product has a performance failure not caused by human action and the applicable replacement conditions are met. If the contract with an enterprise customer or project customer provides otherwise, the contract shall prevail.
Manifold may reject a return or replacement request in any of the following circumstances:
- The applicable return or replacement period has expired.
- Valid proof of purchase cannot be provided, and the purchase information cannot be verified through the Product serial number or other means.
- The proof of purchase provided has been forged or altered.
- The returned or replacement Product or its accessories are incomplete, or human-caused cosmetic damage impairs the Product's resaleability.
- The Company's technical support department inspects the Product and finds no quality issue.
- The failure was caused by collision, burning, ingress of liquid or foreign matter such as water, oil, or dust, unauthorized modification or addition of components, or installation, use, or operation contrary to the manual, rather than by a Product quality issue.
- The Product serial number, factory label, tamper-evident label, or other identifier shows evidence of removal or alteration.
- The damage was caused by a force majeure event, including flood, fire, earthquake, or lightning.
For Products purchased from an authorized distributor, an e-commerce platform other than an official The Company-operated online channel, or another authorized channel, returns and replacements shall, in principle, be handled by the original seller in accordance with its sales policy and applicable law. Manifold shall remain responsible for the manufacturer's warranty services expressly provided under this Policy.
4 How to Obtain After Sales Service
If, during the warranty period, a Product fails to perform a warranted function, contact Manifold using the official contact details at the end of this Policy to request after-sales service.
Before sending a Product for service, you must complete the following preparations:
- Follow Manifold customer service instructions to perform initial troubleshooting and register the relevant information, including the Product serial number, description of the issue, and proof of purchase.
- Make a complete backup of all data stored on the Product and, to the extent possible, delete confidential, proprietary, and personal information from the device before sending it for service. Service may require a factory reset, formatting of storage media, replacement of storage components, or other operations that may prevent data from being retained. Manifold does not warrant that data on the device will remain available after service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the customer bears the risk of data loss resulting from failure to make the required backup. If access to personal information, trade secrets, or other sensitive data is necessary during service, Manifold will take reasonable protective measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and any confidentiality obligations applicable between the parties.
- Remove functional modules, optional modules, modified components, and accessories that are not covered by the warranty.
- Ensure that Manifold or its authorized service provider may, to the extent reasonably necessary, inspect, disassemble, repair, upgrade software on, calibrate, or otherwise service the Product.
- Ensure that the Product is not subject to any legal restriction that would prevent repair or replacement, including a security interest or seizure order. If you do not own the Product, obtain the owner's permission in advance.
- Pack and ship the Product properly in accordance with customer service instructions.
Shipping and Diagnostics
- Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, Manifold provides warranty service by mail-in repair. Manifold will provide appropriate packing and shipping instructions. The Product shall be sent to a service location designated by Manifold and returned to you after service is completed.
- If inspection confirms that a Product is covered by free warranty service, Manifold will bear the cost of repair materials, labor, and diagnostics. Where consumers are legally entitled to repair, replacement, or other remedies, necessary shipping costs shall be handled in accordance with applicable law. Any separate agreement concerning logistics costs for enterprise customers, overseas customers, or the parties shall prevail. If inspection confirms that a Product is not covered by free warranty service, that no fault was found (NFF), or that the Product was sent for service for reasons attributable to the customer, Manifold may charge reasonable diagnostic, repair, and logistics fees after notifying the customer in advance.
- Manifold will complete its inspection and notify the customer of the proposed solution within a reasonable period after receiving the Product. Repair or replacement time may vary depending on the complexity of the issue, availability of spare parts, shipping, calibration, and other factors. If the sales contract provides a service level or specific turnaround time, the contract shall prevail.
- The service solution may involve repair or replacement of the complete unit or a component, and the Product serial number may change after service.
- Within five business days after receiving a repaired or replacement Product, promptly open the package and inspect the Product's appearance and shipping condition. If you find cosmetic damage or shipping damage that could be identified through reasonable unboxing inspection, promptly contact The Company. If no issue is raised within that period, the Product's appearance and shipping condition may be deemed accepted.
- A newly purchased Product must be unpacked and inspected within seven business days after delivery. If shipping damage or a dead-on-arrival defect is found, promptly contact The Company.
5 Exclusions from the Free Warranty Service
The following circumstances are not covered by free warranty service. If repair is feasible, paid service may be provided based on The Company's repair quotation:
- The purchaser cannot demonstrate by proof of purchase, Product serial number, outbound shipment records, activation records, sales records from authorized channels, or other reasonable means that the Product falls within the scope of this Policy.
- The Product serial number, factory label, or other important identifier used to establish the Product's identity or warranty eligibility has been intentionally removed, altered, or erased, such that the Product's identity, source, or warranty eligibility cannot reasonably be confirmed.
- Damage caused by installation, use, or operation contrary to The Company's published or supplied Product instructions, including technical specifications, user manuals, installation instructions, and safety precautions.
- Damage caused by unauthorized modification, disassembly, opening of the enclosure, soldering, or addition of components without The Company's written permission and official instructions.
- Failure or damage caused by an accident, improper use, misuse, dropping, collision, crushing, liquid ingress, burning, or other human action rather than by an inherent Product quality issue.
- Damage caused by force majeure or external environmental factors outside the Product's specified operating conditions, including fire, flood, typhoon, earthquake, lightning, contact with corrosive liquids, or temperature, humidity, electromagnetic interference, static electricity, voltage, or other environmental conditions outside the ranges permitted by the Product's technical specifications.
- Reasonable wear and tear, natural aging, or normal performance degradation of consumable components resulting from normal use within the Product's technical specifications and normally expected service life. This exclusion does not apply if a manufacturing defect causes the Product to fail, during the warranty period, to meet an expressly committed performance specification.
- Product failure or damage caused by the use of third-party components, power supplies, accessories, or software that do not meet The Company's expressly stated technical specifications.
- Damage caused by inspection, repair, or disassembly performed by any person other than Manifold or a service provider authorized by The Company.
- Damage arising from the customer's secondary development using the standard interfaces or development tools provided with a Manifold Product, where the damage results from the customer's integration design, excessive power supply, incorrect interface connection, configuration error, or similar cause. This includes abnormal loads, interface damage, or other failures caused by a third-party controller, wiring harness, power supply system, communication device, or mechanical structure.
- System failure or Product damage caused by firmware, software, flashing tools, or upgrade methods that have not been officially released, authorized, or approved by The Company.
- Manifold is responsible only for the Products officially released by the Company and standard interfaces for which it makes an express commitment. If a customer or a third party integrates the Products into a robot, unmanned aerial vehicle, vehicle, machine, production system, or other third-party system, that party must independently verify system-level safety, compatibility, and reliability. Issues caused by the third-party system's design, control logic, power supply, communications, mechanical installation, or other integration factors are not covered by free warranty service. This exclusion does not apply to an issue directly caused by a defect inherent in the Products.
- Any other failure or damage not caused by an inherent Product quality issue.
Special Provisions on Accuracy and Calibration
A Product's measurement accuracy, positioning accuracy, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) performance, and data quality may be affected by the operating environment, scene structure, lighting conditions, movement speed, vibration, occlusion, satellite signals, wireless environment, and other external factors. A performance decrease caused by an operating environment that does not comply with the Product's technical specifications or recommended conditions of use does not, by itself, constitute a Product quality defect.
If a Product fails under normal use to meet the performance specifications stated in the official technical specifications because of manufacture, assembly, or factory calibration, the matter will be handled under this Policy. Recalibration, alignment, or restoration of accuracy required because of dropping, collision, severe vibration, disassembly, modification, long-term use, or operation outside the specified environmental conditions may be provided as a paid service.
The diagnostic findings issued by The Company's technical support department are an important basis for determining the cause of a Product failure and the appropriate after-sales solution. If the parties dispute the nature of the failure or the allocation of responsibility, the dispute may be addressed through testing by a third party accepted by both parties, consultation, or another dispute resolution method available under applicable law.
6 Limitation of Liability
Manifold is liable for loss of or damage to a Product only while the Product is in The Company's actual custody or during a segment of transportation arranged by Manifold for which Manifold bears the transportation risk under applicable law or the agreement between the parties.
Manifold is not responsible for the loss or disclosure of any data contained in a Product, including confidential, proprietary, or personal information.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited as described in the fourth paragraph of this Section, neither Manifold nor any affiliate legally entitled to the benefit of the limitations in this Policy shall be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the purchase or use of a Product or its accessories. This exclusion includes loss of profit, business revenue, anticipated benefit, or use of funds; business interruption; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill or reputation; and data loss or recovery costs resulting from the customer's failure to back up data as required by this Policy, even if the relevant party has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, except for losses caused by The Company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury, product liability imposed by law, and any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, The Company's aggregate liability arising from the relevant Product and this Policy shall not exceed the purchase price actually paid by the customer for the Product giving rise to the liability.
The limitations above do not exclude or limit The Company's liability for personal injury, including death, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The laws of some countries or regions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain incidental or consequential damages; accordingly, some of the exclusions or limitations above may not apply to you.
7 General Provisions
This Policy states the general rules governing the commercial warranty for standard Products. It does not replace any valid sales contract, purchase order, project contract, framework agreement, Product technical specification, or other express written commitment lawfully made by The Company. If any such document conflicts with this Policy, the specific written agreement between the parties and the priority rules stated in this Policy shall govern.
If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.
The governing law and dispute resolution arrangements applicable to this Policy shall be as provided in the sales contract or other written agreement between the parties. For purchasers who qualify as consumers under applicable law, this Policy does not affect any rights available under mandatory local consumer protection law. Unless otherwise explicitly agreed by the parties and permitted by applicable law , this Policy shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
Manifold may update this Policy from time to time. Unless otherwise required by law or unless the update is more favorable to the customer, an update affecting substantive rights or obligations, including the warranty period, scope of warranty, or limitations of liability, shall in principle apply only to Products purchased after the update. A Product already purchased shall in principle remain subject to the version of the Policy effective at the time of purchase. Procedural matters such as after-sales contact details, service addresses, and operating procedures may be handled in accordance with the latest published information.
Your other rights. You may have other rights according to the applicable laws of your state or jurisdiction. You may also have other rights under a written agreement with Manifold. Nothing in this Limited Warranty affects your statutory rights, including rights of consumers under laws or regulations governing the sale of consumer products that cannot be waived or limited by agreement.
This Policy may be made available in multiple languages. If there is any difference in interpretation between language versions, the applicable rule shall be determined by the relevant sales contract. Any mandatory requirement of applicable law concerning language versions shall prevail.
